Buenas yan Hafa Adai BBMCS Obispo Family! As we embark on School Year 2023-2024, we acknowledge and give thanks to God for the ability to serve the local, regional, and international community by providing a rigorous academic curriculum, diverse and competitive athletic opportunities, a great exposure to Fine Arts, opportunities for international exchange students, and most importantly, a rich spiritual formation in Catholic Christianity.
This year we are happy to roll out the Obispos Fine Arts Academy, an after school Music, Theater, and Art enrichment activity led by select teachers from the Obispo faculty and from the local community. Please standby for the specific offerings available each academic quarter.
Additionally, we are strengthening our partnership with Bella Wings Aviation, a local drone aviation company that has furnished the school with high quality drones intended to expose students to the field of aviation. This particular offering is made possible through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant with a specific funding toward supporting STEAM education. These offerings will also be made available as supplemental after school academic activities.
Lastly, we are very grateful or the enduring support of our school families, the board members of our Consultative Board and Finance Council, the Catholic Schools Office Superintendent, and the leadership of the Archdiocese of Agaña. May God bless you and pour His graces out upon you as you continue to be good stewards of His schools, and specifically as it pertains to us, Bishop Baumgartner Memorial Catholic School.
BIBA OBISPOS!
David C. Dueñas
Interim President
Dear Obispo Families and Community,
Though this school year is projected to be different from any other, together, we will continue our tradition of providing Catholic education to our students and quality service to our families. I am truly honored to continue leading the Obispo community alongside Dr. Rita D. Duenas, President for the 2020-2021 school year. We have accomplished so much as a school community, and we will continue to do so. This new learning model does not need to be a barrier, but instead will serve as an opportunity to change our mindset as it relates to the delivery of instruction and engaging students in learning.
This year, I am very much looking forward to providing exceptional educational experiences for our students. I want students to leave Bishop Baumgartner with memories that will last a lifetime! We want our students to LOVE learning and LOVE coming to school, even if it is virtually. With your help, we can instill life-long values in our students to work hard, exceed expectations, and to appreciate their education. Though we are forced to adapt our teaching and learning methods to address the conditions of the pandemic, our heart for our students and families remains the same, and we will do everything in our power to keep our students thriving. With your support, we can build on our past successes to take BBMCS to the next level. Thank you for your continued support and trust in Catholic education at Bishop Baumgartner Memorial Catholic School, Home of the Obispos.
May God bless You,
Lila M. Lujan Camacho
